Anxiety

Anxiety robs us of the present moment.

Stuck in that carbonated feeling of worry and stress, you miss out on what is. You find yourself constantly worrying—fixated on some possible catastrophe and, even if things turn out okay, quickly finding a new impending disaster to fret about. A part of you scolds that this is ridiculous and that you need to get a grip, but another part just can’t let go. Over time, this takes a toll on your nervous system, and you find it difficult to sleep, focus, or even take a deep breath. You don’t have to live on this treadmill forever. I can give you the tools to step down, to breathe again, to be present in your own life.

I use a combination of somatic, mindfulness-based, and parts-work (IFS) techniques to support you to become curious about your anxious parts and how hard they are working to protect you. Through our work together, you can learn how to reconnect with your grounded, best self and operate from that place of calm.
